Welcome Junior A Head Coach Pat Coyle

by Shelly Fey

Hailing from Orangeville, Ontario, Pat Coyle has been proven to be one of the most successful lacrosse players and coaches in the history of the sport.

Pat is no stranger to success at The Palace on Poirier either. As a player with the Senior Adanacs, Pat was named a WLA All-Star 7 times, WLA Defender of the Year 5 times, Playoff MVP once, and Captained the team to take home Coquitlam’s last Mann Cup in 2001.

In 2015, Pat was named Head Coach of the Junior A Adanacs and calling that tenure successful would be an understatement. With his quiet yet demanding nature, Coyle led the Junior As to Minto Cup berths in each year, winning the penultimate prize in 2016 and 2018.

At the NLL level, Pat owns 5 NLL Championships and a Defensive Player of the Year Award (2002) as a player, and another NLL Championship as Head Coach of the Colorado Mammoth in 2022. For his efforts as a hard-nosed defender, Pat was named the first defensive player to join the NLL Hall of Fame in 2014 and is a member of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

The club is beyond excited to be welcoming Pat back, and look forward to seeing him back behind our bench in 2024!
