Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zimmerman family

Rocky Zimmerman always had his hand with Lacrosse in Coquitlam starting in the early days with Minor Lacrosse holding many roles that encompass Governor, President, and Director.

Rocky was always one to put the work in regardless of his title or role and was highly respected by his peers and competition.

Rocky was an instrumental component to the early success of the Intermediate A / B Program in Coquitlam. Alongside Frank Jones, Rocky also helped start up the Junior B Program in the late 90's leading into the early 2000's when he saw a gap for players that wanted to keep playing in Coquitlam when the only option was Junior A.

Much of the current success  in the Junior Program is because of the foundation Rocky laid in his tenure as President and Governor. He led the team to 3 Straight Minto cups from 2009-2011. Winning the very elusive Championship in front of a hometown crowd with a star-laden roster in which he was integral to assembling.

This is a very tough one for the club as Rocky has always been a fixture at almost every game with his trusted friend and sidekick Al Lang. We will miss his jovial mild-mannered big frame of a man dearly. One thing for certain, We can take solace in knowing you are smiling above us and making those around you smile as well.
