Game of the Week | Back-to-Back Coquitlam at Nanaimo

A back-to-back is somewhat rare in the BCJALL. In the situations when they do occur, a back-to-back home-and-home is even less heard-of. But a back-to-back featuring the same two teams with the home team hosting both nights is virtually unheard... of outside of baseball.

That is exactly what the BCJALL has on our hands this weekend as the Coquitlam Adanacs travel to Vancouver Island to take on the Nanaimo Timbermen on Saturday evening at 5:00PM and again on Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM.

The unique scenario is pivotal for both teams. The Adanacs play on Wednesday night against the Port Coquitlam Saints who they narrowly escaped from with a 8-7 win on Friday June 5th. Tonight's match-up will be a good indication on how well the Adanacs can adjust after a close game when facing the same opponent in consecutive match-ups. The major difference this time around being that Coquitlam will be doing it without any rest against Nanaimo.

Game Details: Sunday June 14, 2015 3:00PM at Frank Crane Arena

The Timbermen are in a perfect position to see where they stand in terms of playoff contention. Currently, they are 3 Points out of playoff position and are 1-1-1 in their last 3 Games, their last win coming against the New Westminster Salmonbellies; who sit at 12 Points at thew 4th and final playoff spot in BCJALL Standings. Being able to steal a win on Saturday combined with a win on Sunday would be huge for the Timbermen. Although a single win on Sunday may be more realistic, two wins are definitely in the sights of an improved Timbermen team.
