Chris Gill - Assistant Coach and offensive coordinator

by Shelly Fey

Joining the Junior Adanacs bench for the 2024 season is assistant coach and offensive coordinator Chris Gill.

Raised across the street from Smith Box in Coquitlam, and son of Sohen Gill, Chris’ roots run deep in the Coquitlam lacrosse community.

From Minor all the way to Junior, Gill spent his first 16 years of lacrosse in the purple and gold. As a Junior Adanac, he amassed 137 goals and 104 assists (241 points) in just 72 games - so you could say he knows a thing or two about what it takes to produce offensively at the Junior level!

Beyond Junior, “Gilly” went on to enjoy an illustrious career at the senior ranks. Selected first overall in the 1994 WLA Draft, Chris would go on to produce 833 points in 282 regular season and playoff games, be named to the WLA All-Star Team 5 times, be crowned the league leading scorer on two occasion, and winning WLA MVP once in 1998. While he never captured the Mann Cup in his two Finals appearances, Gill did win a Senior B President’s Cup with North Shore in 2001.

As a coach, Chris Gill has enjoyed success at the WLA and NLL levels, most recently with the Maple Ridge Burrards and Vancouver Warriors respectively. He also has spent time sharing a bench with Pat Coyle during his tenure with the Colorado Mammoth.

We look forward to seeing what our offence can do with Gilly in control this year!
