Adanacs extend win streak to 11

After handling the Delta Islanders on Wednesday night, the Adanacs were back at it on Friday night when they took on the Port Coquitlam Saints at the Poco Rec Centre.

The Saints got on the board first when RylandRees scored, but it didn’t take long for the Adanacs to recover. Goals from ThomasSemple and CodyGraden made it 3-1 Adanacs just after the halfway point and it would be 3-1 heading into the second period.

The second period saw a lot more action. The Saints quickly tied the game up within the first 5 minutes of the second period, with 1 coming off the powerplay. 

To no surprise, the Adanacs were able to shift the momentum in the game. In 5 minutes, the Adanacs made it at 6-3 game.

The Saints were able to cut the Adanacs lead to 2 with 1:08 remaining in the second period, but the Adanacs got a late goal from BrettKujala to make it 7-4 Adanacs heading into the third period.

The Adanacs basically put the game away when they scored 2 goals in the first 2 minutes of the third period. After exchanging goals, it was 10-5 Adanacs before the halfway point. 

The Saints continued to pressure as KeeganBell and TyGoff each scored to cut the Adanacs lead to 10-7. Unfortunately for the Saints, the Adanacs didn’t want the game to be close at all as they popped in 3 goals before the game ended, to go on to defeat the Saints 13-7.

The Adanacs will have one day off before they take on the Nanaimo Timbermen on Sunday afternoon, while the Saints face-off against the Victoria Shamrocks on Sunday evening.
